This policy explains what information BakeyWakey collects when you use bakeywakey.in, why, and who it is shared with. BakeyWakey is a pickup-only sourdough bakery in Kolhapur, operated by CulturedCraft. Also see our Terms of Service.

Information we collect

Your account. When you create an account we ask for your name, phone number, email address and a password. Date of birth, city or area, and a referral code are optional. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read them.

Google sign-in. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and Google account identifier with us (the openid, email and profile permissions). We never receive your Google password.

Your orders. The products and quantities you order, the bake date, the pickup point and pickup slot you choose, prices, taxes, any discount or referral reward applied, your order number and pickup code, order status changes, invoices, cancellations and refund records. If you check out without an account, we also keep a private link that lets you view that order.

Payments. Payments are handled by Razorpay. Card numbers, UPI PINs and bank login details are entered with Razorpay, not on our site, and we do not receive or store them. We keep the Razorpay order and payment references, amount, currency, payment status, failure reasons and the payment notifications Razorpay sends us.

Pickup distance (optional). If you choose “Use my location”, your browser’s location is used on your own device to work out how far each pickup point is. Your coordinates are not sent to us or stored. The resulting distances, and whether you allowed location access, are saved in your browser; when you place an order we may record the approximate distance or area you confirmed and when you gave that consent.

Reviews and waitlists. If you review a product you bought, we keep your rating, comment and display name. If you join a waitlist for a sold-out bake, we keep the name, contact details and quantity you enter.

Referrals. When the referral programme is active, your account may be given a referral code to share. We record which account referred which, and any reward discount code issued as a result.

Security records. Sign-in sessions (stored as hashed tokens), and records of sign-in and password-reset attempts — including the email address or network (IP) address used — so we can limit repeated attempts.

Cookies and browser storage

We use only what the shop needs to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

  • Sign-in cookie — keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, or until you log out. It cannot be read by page scripts.
  • Google sign-in check — a short-lived cookie (about 10 minutes) that protects the Google sign-in step from forgery.
  • Browser storage — your bag’s identifier, whether you have seen the store walkthrough, and your pickup-distance choices, saved in your own browser.

How we use your information

  • To run your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
  • To take orders for a published bake date, plan how much to bake, and hand your order over at the pickup point you chose.
  • To take payment through Razorpay, and to process cancellations and refunds.
  • To prepare invoices and keep the business and tax records we are required to keep.
  • To apply discount codes and referral rewards.
  • To contact you about your order or account, for example if a bake date changes or you ask to reset your password.
  • To publish approved reviews and to reach waitlisted customers if a place opens up.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse and repeated sign-in attempts.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the shop, and only as far as each one needs:

  • Razorpay — payment processing and refunds.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and stores its product photographs and 3D models.
  • Neon — hosts the database that holds account and order records.

Our own staff see order and pickup details they need to bake, pack and hand over orders. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Product photographs and 3D models

Product photographs and 3D models are uploaded by our team and are published so anyone visiting the site can view them. They are product media, not customer information.

How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is in use. Order, payment, invoice and refund records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and dispute purposes under applicable law. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days, or sooner when you log out, and password-reset links expire.

Your choices

You can view your orders in My BakeyWakey and log out at any time. You can decline location access and still order normally. To ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to ask us to delete your account, contact us at cruchyecoes.food@gmail.com or 8484881113. Some order and payment records may need to be kept even after an account is closed, for the reasons above.

Changes to this policy

If the way the shop handles information changes, we will update this page and its “last updated” date.
